For the last 25 years Antony has specialised in all areas of family law, including child law, relationship property, trusts, protection of personal and property rights, family protection and testamentary promises.
Antony is an experienced mediator who is on the Law Society panel of mediators in the Family Court Early Intervention Programme. He is also an accredited Collaborative Lawyer.
Since 1988 he has been a member of the 'lawyer for the child' panel and he is regularly appointed as counsel to assist the court in complex cases.
He regularly appears in the Family Court and on appeals.

- Co-presenting the 2004 New Zealand Law Society National Seminar Child Development in the Family Court
- Co-presenting the compulsory workshop for family lawyers aspiring to appointment as a lawyer to act for children
- Former Chair of the Family Court's Association (Auckland) and long term committee member of that organisation
- Member of the Family Law Section working party on submissions on the Care of Children bill 2003
- Chair of the Advanced Lawyer for Child Seminar in 2008
- Current chair of the Family Law Section of the Law Society
- Former trustee of Odyssey House Drug Rehabilitation Centre; a (founding) trustee of the Fred Hollows Foundation and previous parent representative on the Board of Trustees of Western Springs College
